The Department of State Service (DSS) has released Bayelsa State-based journalist and Publisher of a local tabloid, The Weekly Source, Jones Abiri.
Abiri was re-arrested on Saturday evening at the office of the Bayelsa Independent Publisher Association (BIPA) by operatives of the service.
He was first arrested on June 21, 2016 for alleged terrorism but granted bail on August 15, 2018 following series of national and international outcries.
It was gathered he was further released on bail to a lawyer from the Femi Falana law firm.
A Human Rights Activist Morris Alagoa, an activist, confirmed the release of Abiri but said DSS had yet to state the reason for the current travails of the journalist.
