Prof. Charles Dokubo

Prof. Charles Dokubo, Coordinator, Presidential Amnesty Programme, has called on contractors to implement contracts in line with the terms of agreement.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Murphy Ganaga, on Wednesday in Abuja, Dokubo said that the call was necessitated by increasing reports of sale of contracts.
He said: “It is illegal and criminal for a contractor to be awarded a contract and then he goes behind to sell the contract to another individual or company.
“As part of the terms of agreement for contracts awarded by the office, a contract is not transferable. It should be satisfactorily implemented.”
The coordinator said that sale of contracts breached an agreement with the Amnesty Office.
He noted that contracts awarded by the office were meant for training and empowerment of beneficiaries of the programme, in line with its core mandate.
He said that any company that would henceforth engage in sale or racketeering after securing a contract from the office would have the contract revoked.
